The average person will spend roughly 90,000 hours of their lives working. All the more reason to make sure that those hours are spent in a comfortable environment which appeases the senses! Creating such a space begins with the right furniture that provides both support and style.

The Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF) will take place from July 19 – 22 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Featuring leading furniture wholesale companies from both at home and abroad, it is the premier networking and buying destination for the industry.

Whether you’re an interior designer working on a commercial project or a retailer looking for great new pieces for a home study, we’ve got a taste of some of the stylish office furniture on offer from AIFF exhibitors.

We love the slight kookiness of the ‘Helia’ bookshelf for the office. It’s definitely time to think outside the square when it come to office furnishings!

There’s a whiff of Don Draper’s office in Mad Men about this 2-seater sofa from Westland Australia. Whether you’re designing a home office or a commercial space, an easy way to add panache is through stylish seating. Why not add a cocktail cabinet and settle in for the afternoon?

Minimalist Chic from NIK DESK

The Nik Desk 1200 in White. Image: Nik Desk

Henner Jahns has designed the ‘Nik Desk to be a streamlined, ergonomic and stylish desk for the modern workplace. With a clear and simple shape, it is minimalism at its best. Suitable for a chic home office or a corporate space, the desk is made from metal, wood and glass and evokes a timeless quality.

We love the white version, which comes with two dock shelves to attach to the glass privacy panel for viewing tablets and phones when charging. They can also function as adjustable shelves and bookends.

The Nik Desk is a tidy solution to our plugged-in lives – there’s easy access to power and USB ports, plus the hinged cable tray conceals wires from view. An invisible drawer also pulls out to store a laptop.

See the Nik Desk range at Stand V41 of AIFF 2018. Not yet got your ticket? Co-located with Decor + Design at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from July 19 – 22nd, AIFF is the leading design destination in Australia.  Entry to the trade exhibition is free for people in the industry. Register now.
